Bratislava, Nov. 1.
A wretched band of 62 Czechoslovak Jews, most of them women and children, have formed a crude camp near Lundenburg between the German and Czech frontiers, a veritable "no nian's land" for them.
The Jews described how the Germans occupied their former homes, after which all the men were thrown into jail and the women were driven into the camp.
All hopes for relief have been placed on the efforts of relatives to persuade the Czech Government or some other nation to give refuge to the women and girls who range from babes in arms to an 84-year-old blind woman.
Many of the originally 168 refugees have slipped past the frontier during tie nights to search for aid in Czechoslovakia. They said that of the 510 Jews living at Lundenburg, only one as allowed by the German authorities to remain.
