England-Australia Flying Boat Route

Empire Air Mail Scheme To Be Completed Soon

London, June 13.

The Air Ministry announces that the last section of the new Empire flying-boat route from England to Australia is to be inaugurated on July 2, when the first Quantas Empire Airways flying-boat leaves Singapore for Sydney.

The machine is expected to arrive in Sydney on July 5. At first, only surcharge mail will be carried, but within a few weeks "all up" mail to Australia will be entrusted to this service, thus completing the Empire air mail scheme over the England-Australia air route.—Reuter,
