Tuesday's Closing Quotations

New York, Nov. 22.

Fairly firm conditions were seen in the cotton market early in the session on the strength of Liverpool and Bombay cables and covering by shorts. Later, however, some profit taking and weaker outside markets brought about a reaction, but then the market again rallied end closed fairly firm and active on good buying by the trade and dealers, with quotations ranging from 1 point down to 4 points up from the previous close.

After opening lower due to the weakness of sterling, prices in the rubber market rallied strongly on good trade buying, the firmness of London and some bear covering. Trading during the close was very active and the market closed with quotations ranging from 31 to 33 points up from yesterday.

The strength of the dollar, recurrence of European political uncertainties and the firmness of Liverpool imparted a better tone to the Chicago Grain Pit today. However, despite reports of good exports, trading was Kept within a narrow range and final quotations were from % to X4 above yesterday's close.
