After waiting for favourable weather, a naval air squadron raided Kweilin, capital of Kwangsi, and tombed important military buildings, the statement said. Heavy damage was done and explosions were seen at several points.
Military establishments in Kweilin have been reduced to ruins by frequent bombardments, the statement continued. In Saturday's raids all the planes returned safely to their bases although they encountered heavy anti-aircraft and machine gun fire.
A large military boat, a godown and iwo military junks in the vicinity of Chikanpu and Sinchang on the bank of the Chingtan River in Kwangtung were demolished by another naval air unit on Saturday, the statement said.
