'A number of accidents occurred late on New Year's Eve and early New Year's morning. In the Bubbling Well Police district alone eight crashes were recorded, involving mossily foreign motor cars. In the most serious of these collisions, at the Intersection of Great Western Road and Edinburgh Road, at about 4 a.m., Chinese pedestrian vas knocked down by a foreign-driven car which hit post and was badly damaged. The vielim was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and. treated for concussion of the brain and cuts of the forehead.
