An appeal to his compatriots to Aght for the freedom of Memel was made in that town today by Dr. Neumann, German leader, in a New Year message. He recalled the vie-tory of the German party in Memel the last elections to the Diet.
"We have conquered but it is not a final victory." he said. ~The ight is only starting. The aim of our Fuehrer who said my country must become free once again' has not yet been fulfilled."
Dr. Neumann then warned the Germans of Memel "against Lithualan policemen who are crouping documents to charge Germans. with violating the law on the protection of the state."—Havas.
