Four hundred and fifty-one crime cases were reported to the Settlement Police during the week ended at noon yesterday, showing an increase of 66 cases over the total for the previous week. The report contains seventeen cases of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery '(increase of eight), 34 of burglary and breaking (increase of seventeen), and 28 cases of snatching (increase of eleven). There were 31 reported instances of pocket-picking (increase of two) and 230 larcenies increase of nine)
The total number of arrests made by the Settlement Police last week was 586 (increase of 64).
