A colour guard of Marines dressed in the uniform of 1775, a presentation of the new Regimental Plag to the Fourth Marines—these will be featured during the Regimental parade and review on November 10, commemorating the 164th birthday anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.
The parade and review is to be held for the Commander-in-Chief, US. Asiatic Fleet, and his Staff. Admiral Hart will make the pre-septation of the. new flag, and the colour guard wearing the specially-made uniforms will be present in order that the transition of the Marine Corps uniform and colours can actually be seen.
Tentatively scheduled as part of the programme for the day are an "At Home" at the Fourth Marines Club, during which there will be dancing, and a regimental dinner for the officers, Mr. Y. Hanawa Accepts Council Seat Mr. Yutaro Hanawa, manager of the Jocal branch of the Mitsui Bussan Kaisha and president of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, officially accepted the past of Japaneşe member of the Shanghai Municipal Council en Monday afternoon from Chairman C, S. Franklin, according to the "Tairiku Shimpo" yesterday.
Mr. Hanawa, who is already serying on the Police Committee of the S. M. C., will also serve om the Finance Committee, filling out the unexpired term of Mr. Tatsuichiro Funatsu, who has returned to Japan, the paper said.
