Senator Maloney Crosses Floor

Washington, Oct. 17. Formal abandonment of his undecided stand on the neutrality revision question was proclaimed in the Senate today by Democrat Francis T. Maloney, of Connecticut, after the conservative Democrat, Senator David I. Walsh, of Massachusetts made a strong speech against the Pittman Revision Bill.

The existent Neutrality Act, Senator Maloney asserted, proved itself to be far from neutral in its application since "the United States can sell 10,000 bombers to Russia while it is compelled to forbid the sale of a single revolver to a neighbouring State, Canada."

He pointed out that repeal of the embargo was advocated by 40 Senators with sons and relatives who may be called on for military service—Havas, Netherlands to Expand K.L.M. Air Line The Hague, Oct, 18.

The Netherlands Government intends to advance 3,000,000 guilders to the K.L.M. Airlines for the purchase of commercial planes, it was learned today.—United Press.
