Tokyo, Oct. 22.
The liner Monterey is arriving at Yokohama on October 29 and taking board 425 American citizens wishing to evacuate, as well as their alien wives and minor children, the United States Consul-General announces.
The vessel is proceeding to Shanghai where she is due on November 110 embark more passengers. The Monteroy will then sail for Australia and New Zealand before returning to the United States.
The liner Mariposa is due in Shanghai on November 11, and will probably proceed to Chinwanstao to embark Americans from North China and Korea, then to Kobe for adtional evacuees from Japan. The Mariposa has accommodation of 1,100
