Shanghai, Oct.

The Chinese press in Shanghai attaches so much importance 0 the denial from Moscow through Tass that" Stalin will receive the new Japanese Ambassador to Moscow on October 26 (which report was given prominence on Monday in all leading Chinese dailies here) that two leading Chinese dailies here commented on the Japanese "dream" yesterday in Jong editorials, The "Chinese American Dally News" opined that the fact that Stalin had ordered the official Russian news fageney to deny the Japanese report that he would receive the Japanese Ambassador was just like "cold snow from Siberia" splashed against Tokyo. The Japanese report was said to be "one-sided" imagination.

"But one cannot blame Soviet Russia for the callous act of deny the report because why should Stalin create a precedent by receiving the Japanese Ambassador when there is nothing extra-ordinary between Russia and Japan and when the Japanese (ews Report itself reveals that Stalin never received a Japanese ational Herald states that the Japanese Ambassador to Moscow eve nothing and that Stalin's Ito receive him is but the jing of the trend of the story.
