Czech Views Firmly Stated

Prague, Sept. 9.

Possibilities of a plebiscite in the Sudeten German regions of Czechoslovakia are categorically rejected by the well-known Czech Social-De-morat journalist, M. Hubert Ripka, in an article in his newspaper. "Lidove Noviny."

"For the Czechs, the question of a plebiscite -never arises, it should be openly noted. Such a proposition would be categorically rejected no matter who formulates it. Further. more, there is no Constitutional bast permitting a plebiscite in Czechoslovakia. The Government would therefore have no rights to organize it" M. Ripka points out.

"The National Union Party, right wing of the Governmental Coalition group, approved a resolution today rejecting any solution of the nationalities problem which will not be "compatible with the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the State."

Confidence in President The Party added, "We reserve the right to communicate our opinions on the Government projects after detailed study of these proposals"

Other Government Parties have adopted similar attitudes towards the Czech-Sudeten situation, Politicians are examining the position arisen out of the school strike at Troppau, begun yesterday by Sudeten Germans protesting against the authorities' refusal to enrol German children of the Hlucin district in the Troppau German school, It is emphasized that Hlucin children know the German language ory imperfectly and before the Treaty of Versailles, the Hlucin region belonged to Prussian Silesia when Prussian school inspectors had after remarked upon the bilingual Czecho-Moravian population of that district,
