Yunnan and Fukien Defeat Hopeh By "Tur

LO, yesterday afternoon, was not at all as expected and was in fact rather disappointing. Neither of the matches revealed any sort of team work and the success of the winning teams was the result of good individuál play. To add to the misery of the poor matches, four players were thrown, three of whom were' unhurt. But Atkinson, who was to have played for Hopeh, was thrown heavily on the boards, soon after the throw in, and could not continue. Another unlucky occurrence was the laming of Chester Fritz's pony Mischief who was so badly lamed that he had to be taken away in a horse cart.

The first match between Kwangsi (H. A. White, Skyrme, Douglas and Pollock) and Yunnan (Grey Wilson, Simpson, Heslop and Mokrejs) proved to be the elimination of the latter who after being conceded two goals handicap succumbed by eight goals to seven, after a poor match, while the second which was as uninteresting to watch was won by Fukien (C. B. Moller, Allen, Hornby and Arderne) who defeated Hopeh (Lutey, Macfarlane, Fritz and Hughes) by nine goals to three after having received four goals handicap. Well Mr. Handicapper what about it?
