Two Games are Arranged Dinner on Saturday The 1938 baseball season will be brought to a fitting close this weekend when two exhibition games have been arranged to take place.
On Saturday, starting at 3 pin, the First Battalion, who captured the City League championship and also the Inter-Battalion championship, will be pitted against a team picked from the rest of Shanghai.
On Sunday, beginning at the same hour, the Marine regimental team, which won the year's Fourth of July classic, will run against the combined forces of the other Marine players, the Amateurs and the U.S.S. Asheville.
The annual baseball dinner given by the Amateurs will be held this Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Trophies for the winners will be presented.
Meanwhile, the Marines are contemplating a dinner also sometime next week in honour of the victorious First Battalion, who lost only twice in sixteen contests.
