According to a prominent Jewish delegate, the postponement of the meetings did not mean a breakdown the talks, but the onus for their resumption rested with the British government.
The full Arab delegation met a' the Egyptian Embassy this evening [It is learned in authoritative quarters that the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the British Government's suggestions for a settle: ment of the Palestine problem, pu forward during the week-end.
It is thought in Arab circles that the suggestions as they now stand are not sufficiently precise to permit of an immediate Arab decision regarding acceptance or rejection. The general feeling, however, is one of opti-miss, and it is thought that the suggestions form a promising basis fcr future discussion, in the course of which they may be clarified and extended to a more definite plan.—
