US. Spy Trial

Government Closely Guards

Evidence New York, Oct. 15.

The Government indicated here today that it had sensational, closely guarded evidence against the four alleged German spies facing charges of espionage here in the court of Federal Judge John C. Knox.

Judge Knox released the jurors for the week-end without the court's customary instructions to refrain from discussing the case and from reading newspapers. He said he did not consider it necessary to give the jury these instructions because so little was known in public about the real nature of the Government's evidence in the case. For the same reason, he said, he did not consider it necessary to confine the jury over the week-end—United Press.
