Scotland's backs did get away, they supreme at forward. Bruce-Lockhart and Shaw changed places, Carr, and Guest all attempted to break through, but they might have been battering at a stone wall; and two forward bursts, one by Marshall, the other by Watkins, looked as likely I am probably a pessimist, but this resignation of Sutherland impresses upon me the futility of being a football coach. He runs bases with reckless abandon, and if anybody gets in his way he is as likely as not to come in with his spikes high.
