Friday's Closing Quotations

New York, Apr. 14.

The cotton market early advanced on higher Liverpool cables and some buying and covering, but uncertainty over the Governments export and subsidized plans continued to have a restricting influence. Later, prices declined on easier cables, Bombay selling end spot house selling and closed with losses ranging from 1 to 3 points down.

A reaction was recorded in the rubber market on heavy selling and liquidation. Traders generally ignored the steadiness of London cables. Closing quotations showed losses ranging from 17 to 20 points down from yesterday's final levels.

Wheat in Chicago further improved on reports of a better export demand. Conditions in the market were fairly active. At the final bell, gains of 1810 5$ cent were recorded.
