Sino-U.S. Aircraft Deal Expected

Government Credits Not, Involved in Big Contract Impending

Washington, Apr. 26.

Officials of the semi-governmental Export-Import Bank yesterday refused to reveal the amount of the recent $25,000,000 American credit to China expended thus far.

Bank oficiáis said publication of such figures was contrary to policy but they reiterated that no funds from this credit could be used by China for the purchase of aeroplanes. Consequently, they said, the loan was not connected with present contract. negotiations nearing completion between a Chinese group and the United Aircraft Corp.

Silver imports to the United States in March reported to have originated in China were valued at appro mately $1,300,000, much larger than in recent months. Fiscal quarters pointed out that at such a rate, China could pay the full amount of its reported $15,000,000 contract with United Aircraft in ten months.
