London, Dec. 22.
One German bomber definitely was brought down over the Firth of Forth today during the Aerial fight that occurred when R.A.F. pursuit planes encountered raiders and gave battle, it was confirmed tonight.
The attackers were subjected to severe machinegun fire by the speedy pursuit planes, none of which was hit. Eyewitnesses on the scene reported that they actually saw one bomber plunge into the water, its fall marked by a huge column of water spouting skyward.—Havas.
