Jerusalem, Nov. 11.
All Arabs in Palestine are forbidden the use of electricity, and ordered to go bai to candles or ai] lamps instead, in a communique issued by the rebel' "high command."
The communique bears the number 98/38 (the 98th bulletin issued in 1938, a system of numbering adopted from the Government).
The rebel leaders explain their ban on the ground that money spent on electricity goes into Jewish pockets.
Arab towns now boycotting qlectricity are Haifa, Jaffa, Acre, Nazareth, Nablus, Tulkarn, Jenin, Beligan and Tiberizs.
Arab: esidents of Jerusalem Lave been told that they must cease consuming electric from now. The same communique orders all Arao shopkeepers and others who have signboards out to use Arab inscriptons only. Anyone disobeying is threatened with death.—Reuter.
