Although the science of ophthalmology has made considerable progress end has furnished valuable relief to suffering humanity yet the scientific fruit has nct been achieved as medical knowledge has seldom been applied by most of the optical companies in China. Youths fail to discover their Myopia, Hypertropia, or Astigmatism because of their accommodations. Thousands are stil suffering from headache or various nervous and annoying symptoms caused by inaccurate examinations or improper corrections. Those who obtained their glasses from ordinary optical companies, but failed to improve their vision and relieve these symptoms, must require the cooperative service of ophthalmologists in order to perform this static refraction and treat accordingly-Cycloplegics for paralyzing the accommodation temporarily and disclosing the true static refractions of eyes or Mydriatic for enlarging the pupils to facilitate ophthalmoscopic examinations of fundus and retinoscope should be used with the concurrence of ophthalmologists.
