A Reader's Enquiry To the Editor of the guarri-Cutwa Dany News"
Sir,—May I appeal to the large number of American readers of your paper to help me in a really grave problem, am retiring to America but as a British subject I have been brought up from my youth to smoking "Straight Cut" (unblended) Virginia Cigarettes, say nothing against the American "piended" cigarette such as Burleigh, Chesterfield or Camels and as a change I like them myself, but for solid diet I prefer a straight' Virginia.
Tam settling in one of the tobacco States, but on my last visit was quite unable to obtain a satisfactory unblended cigarette, until 1 was about to leave the country from New York, when I found the Hotel Statler provide such a cigarette for British visitors. I have been recommend Phillip Morris's "Richmond Gem' which while straight Virginia leaf is cut differently from the ordinary English cigarette, This is a serious enquiry and I hope some of my future American friends can give me a tip and rescue me from this dilemma.
