No reports on conditions in the Shanghai market have so far appeared in the Chinese press here. The Ministry of Finance is studying the matter and will make a statement on the subject, At the same time, it has been officially confirmed that the Chinese Foreign Office yesterday sent in-dentical Notes in the form of aides memoirs to the Powers through their respective Embassies and Legations in China.
