British Warning

London, June 13.

Sir Robert Craigie, British Ambassador in Tokyo, has warned the Japanese Government of the dangers of an Anglo-Japanese clash in Tientsin, according to Mr. Vernon Bartlett, Diplomatic Correspondent of the "News-Chronicle.."

The deadlock existing over the British refusal to hand over four Chinese in the British Concession may be solved, Mr. Bartlett believes, by the appointment of a committee with equal British and Japanese representation under a neutral chair- he man. he committee would examine the ovallable evidence, and its opinion would decide whether the Chinese should be handed over to Japanese jurisdiction.

"If the Japanese should refuse to accept this suggestion for a solution," the correspondent adds, "a very serious crisis may arise."—Reuter.
