U.S. Commodities

Tuesday's Closing Quotations New York, Dec. 13.

The cotton market early declined on lower Liverpool and Bombay cables, liquidation and realizing. Later, some speculative buying met with local and foreign selling, with most operators content to remain on the side-lines. Finally, the market further drifted down on renewed liquidation, influenced by New Orleans and trade selling, and closed barely steady, with quotations ranging from 6 to 8 points down.

Trading in the rubber market today was featureless, with prices early depressed by unencouraging cables and a lack of incentives. Some commission house selling was offset by the strength of Wall Street. At thei last call-over, losses of 2 to 4 points were recorded.
