President Roosevelt Sends Final Message of Farewell To King and Queen Aboard Empress of Britain,

June 16.

President Roosevelt has sent the following cordial farewell message to the King: "I cannot allow you and the Queen to sail for home without expressing once more the extreme pleasure your all-too-brief visit to the United States gave us.

"The warmth of the welcome accorded you everywhere in this country was spontaneous outpouring of Americans who were deeply touched fy the tact, graciousness and the understanding hearts of our guests, "I always like to think that you felt the sincerity of this manifestation of the friendship of the American people, "Mys. Roosevelt joins me in parting felicitations to Your Majesties and best wishes for a safe and pleasant voyage."

The Empress of Britain is forging ahead at full speed in brilliant sunshine, though earlier in the day, it ran into two small patches of fog—Reuter.
