Who Controls Shanghai Radio

And who controls the controllers of Shanghai radio stations? How many realize that the voices which emerge from our radio may be inspired by motives not apparent on the surface; that certain interests are quietly and persistently working to control or "jam" all stations which do not conform to a particular point of view. The subject of Shanghai Broadcasting and the Future is discussed, exhaustively, in this week's issue of The China Weekly Review (June 24). Everyone, foreigners and Chinese, should read this article because it is the first presentation of the facts of the local radio situation which has appeared in any publication.
