Morning for Rejoicing

This is indeed a morning for rejoining and congratulations. Cor gratulations are due not only to these members of the Class of 1939 who have pursued their studies to this proper conclusion, but also to the faculties and trustees of these four noble universities who have carried on under almost impossible conditions and in spite of all obstruction and opposition. Faithfully have carried the torch of learning which, please God, shall never be extinguished in China. Speaking for my people I say to you:

Our hearts. our' hopes.

Our prayers, our tears—Our faith triumphant o'er our fears, Are all with thee, are all with thee!
