King and Queen Mobbed By Shipyard Workers Spontaneous Demonstration During Ctydeside Visit

London, Feb, 28.

The King and Queen were mobbed by 2,000 workers, when they visited famous Greenock shipyard yesterday, in one of the most spontaneous demonstrations of loyalty the Clydeside has ever seen.

Police had to force a way through the mass of people, to enable the Royal visitors to reach their car after the visit.

In a crowded eight hours, the King and Queen saw a comprehensive section of the immense war effort the Clydeside is making. They visited two shipyards, a great engineering company and a naval torpedo factory. Later they went out in an admiral's barge to visit a battleship.—Reuter.
