Ceylonese Ministers Return to Office

Agreement with Governor Ends Dispute Colombo, Mar. 16.

The six Ministers of the State Council who resigned on February 27, have all returned to office, following an agreement reached with the Governor, Sir Andrew Caldecott.

The resignations were precipitated by the decision of the Governor, in connection with a difference which had arisen between the Home Minister, Sir Don Baron Jayatilka and the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. P. N. Banks, regarding the carrying out of the State Council's decision to postpone certain criminal proceedings.—Reuter.
