For a simple treatment it is hard to beat the honey massage.
First thoroughly cleanse the skin, then with the fingers dab the honey on to the face until it is all thickly covered. Then with both hands rub the honey lightly over the skin. Keep the honey moving, otherwise you will notice that it will have a tendency to drip from the chin. After a few minutes the honey will begin to look lighter in colour and to thicken, Keep massaging until it becomes a paste thick enough to remain on the face without slipping. then, pat evenly and gently for about 10 minutes, At the end of this time you will notice that the paste has become quite white and stiff. Now you can take hold of your skin between the fingers and lift and pull with an upwards movement. To remove the honey small pieces can be lifted off with the fingers or a piece of muslin can be pressed on to the sticky part and quickly lifted away from the face. Remove as much of the honey as possible in this manner, and then massage the face with cold cream. In this manner you will be able to remove most of the mixture, On no account place water on the honey, otherwise it will become a sticky mess. If you keep applying small pieces of muslin you will find that most of the honey will leave the skin. Before any water is applied all traces of honey should be removed with cold cream. The effect achieved with honey is lasting.
