Sail Down River

It is anticipated the fleet will sail down river individually in the morning taking advantage of the ebb tide, and a very good representation of craft is expected to anchor in the vicinity of the flagship, which is moored alongside a pontoon at the Kwanghwa wharf at Gough Island, half way down the Astrea Channel. This venue has proved very satisfactory in the past season and it is understood the Admiral Jellicoe will be kept there again. For those who do not own yachts, it is expected to provide a convenient method of transportation downriver from the anchorage at Yangtszepoo, apart from other arrangements of transport which include use of public ferries.

Races will be arranged during the day, "A" class and "C" class most probably providing a sufficient representation to enable these two classes to hold triangular races wherein at least six to ten yachts in each class will participate. All races will be started from Admiral Jellicoe and the finishing times will also be taken from the flagship,
