The Second Chamber held a brief session at 1 pam, yesterday to hear reassuring statement by the Presldent of the Chamber, Mr, Josephus Robertus Hendrious van Schaik.
He expressed confidence that Hol-Jand would be able to defend her independence against the invader. No Nazi or Communist members were resent at the session and many members. of other affiliations also were absent. No Cabinet member was present and the public gallery was empty.
