U.S. Fleet May Make Trip to Singapore

"Goodwill Visit" Being Studied in Washington New York, Feb. 22, Pro-British groups in the United States are reported to be concentrating their efforts towards having United States naval forces stationed at Singapore because of the unsettled pacific situation.

Although it is believed that United States naval men dislike the idea of the Fleet being stationed 7,000 miles away, it is reported that the State Department at least favours the project of sending a naval force on a "goodwill" tour of Malaya at the earliest possible moment.

That moment is expected to be immediately after the passing of the Lease and Lend Bill.
