New York, Dec. 7.
Herr Walter Engelberg, Secretary to the German Consulate here, was found dead in his bed yesterday with his skull split open, it was believed by an axe.
The medical examiner said that Herr Engelberg had been killed on Tuesday, the specific cause being the blow which split his skull open. He that other blows had then been rained on the German's body with some heavy weapon after death.
