While foreign gifts for the relief of sufferers from the recent earth quakes continue to pour in—the latest being a gift of £2,000 from the King of Afghanistan—-further seismic-shocks are still reported in the Bleck Sea areas of Samsun and Krasund, and also in Masia, Ankara messages say the river Tigres has overflowed its banks, and that an entire quarter of the large town of Diabekir, in south-east Anatolia, is under water. Thirty workmen engaged ili railway construction are reported to be marooned by floods, and their situation is critical.
