Mrs. Sarah Hall Harris, 73, mother of Mr. M. J. Harris, chief of the Bureau of the Associated Press of America at Shanghai, died on New Year's Day at the home of her daughter, Mrs, Cowgill Blair at Joplin, Missouri, where Mrs. Harris had gone to spend the Christmas holidays.
According to cables received by Mr. and Mrs. Harris here burial services were held at the family burial ground near Columbia, Boone County, Mo.
Aside from her son here, and daughter in Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Harris is survived by another son, J. S. Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
mrs. Harris will be remembered by many residents of Shanghai as she visited here in 1929.
