Rescuers late yesterday continued to find frozen bodies in snow drifts on the heels of a bitter gale which swept North Dakota and Minnesota. Known dead yesterday totalled 57.
Bitter cold hampered searchers. Temperatures ranged from 7 to 1T degrees below zero.
Drifts were eight feet deep in many places. Most victims were found frozen near motor cars or roads after they tried to reach safety when their machines became stalled in drifts.
About 20 persons were said to be still missing—United Press.
