Stable Gossip From On and Off the Course By "Tme Cmasr"
International Recreation Club will spring into prominence again during the Easter holidays when they will hold their 29th Annual Race Meeting. The mere mention of the LR.C. brings back many pleasant memories of the days when racing took place on the Kiamgwan course and the Annual Meeting meant the debut of the year's griffins. This year the meeting will be held over the period of four days and even the gluttons should be content with the programme which averages about 12 races a day.
The highlight of the meeting will naturally be the LR.C. Champions Sweepstakes Handicap, which will be run on the fourth day. The pro-granite has so far only taken a rough form, Though the conditions of each race are stipulated, the order in which they will be run will not be decided until later. The fourth day will be a real champions' day, as besides the big event, the Second, Third and Fourth class ponies will are being rather disappointed this season it seems, First Democratic Prince goes lame after running d good second to Cluniehill in the first meeting, just when he is showing signs of being a useful stake winner, Now I understand that the stable got so fed up with the "rogue" Bachelor Prince that he has been given away. David Judah has him now.
About the Jockeys also be having a champions among themselves.
