New York, Apr. 20.
Cotton prices early declined on lower Liverpool cables, foreign and domestic liquidation, with most traders sitting on the fence. The uncertainty over the export and subsidy plans is still overhanging the market Towards the close, the market further eased on liquidation and finished with losses ranging from 1 to 4 points. 3 Conditions in the rubber market were more or less featureless. Trading was professional in Character, with some switching in evidence. There was a tendency to take profits after the recent rise, and, at the final bell, quotations ruled from 5 to 8 points down.
A further improvement was recorded in wheat prices on the Chicago Board of Trade today. The market early advanced on higher Liverpool cables and reports of good exports. Later, values again hardened on commission house buying. However, price changes were only fractional, and, at the close, gains from!$ to % cent were recorded.
