Chinese guerillas' yesterday wrecked coal mines at Choukoutien, 20 miles south-east of Peiping—Reuter. tenets not being distributed to Chi. nese households but were being sol profit, it was reported, with [Chinese officials and police said to among those engaging in th practice.
Following the lifting of _offcial control, the price of flour increased 15 per cent. yesterday. Later the day, the price hopped 100 per cent. to' $18 per bag, obtainable in very small quantities even at that price.
