Owing to exchange adjustments in salaries, increased staff, both foreign fand Chinese, attending to the sales of our new' units, and the general expansion of our Jute, worsted and dye works, the general office ove head increased considerably of recent years, and the old office allowance was insuflelent to cover the expentiture.
