Liu Pei-lin, the man who hi been in charge of the pig lairage o the abattoir in the French Concession has been sentenced to three months' imprisonment by the Second Special District Court, charged with n appropriation in which he was found to have secretly allowed pigs to be taken out, slaughtered and sold without the knowledge of the abattoir authorities. The sentence, however, has been suspended for two years but Liu has indicated his readiness to file an appeal against the judgment.
