From THe "Nomru-CuiwA Danny NEWS" or May 10, 1869
A correspondent from Newchwang writes:—We have not heard anything About Korea being opened, and I hope people will not be induced to ship goods on the strength of the rumour mentioned; as the stock of grey shirtings left from last year is nearly all on hand yet: and holders cannot, get more than Tls. 226 to Tls. 230. The Sophie and Hellen, which vessel was aground on West bank, has come into port and is loading for Hongkong. An gush J-masted schooner is ashore. Boats have been sent to her assistance. The Kiushiu which takes this letter is loaded with beancake from the steam factory.
