Shanghai, July 24. INGHAI, jerport gateway to Ningpo, which' was recently) occupied by the Japanese, was recaptured by the Chinese on the morning of July 22 according to reports published by leading Chinese dailies in Shanghai yesterday. All forts in the fortified district were claimed to have been retaken. The Japanese were first driven to the outskirts of the district and then wiped out after fierce fighting, it was stated.
'A report from Kinhwa claimed that most of Japanese war vessels left Chinghai fon the afternoon of July 22 for Shanghai carrying many dead and wounded Japanese.
