The federal authorities of Porto Launching an ambitious six-year plan for the development of a commercial, industrial and residential Greater Shanghai between Woosung and the northern extremity of the International Settlement, the Shanghai Real Estate Company, a Sino-Japanese subsidiary of the Central China Development Company, will [offer 20-year leases on a 1,800,000 square-metre residential subdivision beginning on June 1.
An announcement to this effect was made on Tuesday by the land company, which recently purchased [the Broadway Mansions and is now in the process of acquiring the international Recreation Club's Kiengwan Race Course.
The area to be offered for lease will spread fan-wise to the southwest from the intersection of the Matsui, Meiji, Kano, and Kuranaga Boulevards. These thoroughfares were formerly known as Chimei, Hsiang Ying, Wong Shing and Sung Woo Roads. A City Government Police Station formerly faced this intersection.
