My, Alexander Weddell, United States Ambassador to Spain, today announced that he had received instructions to prepare to repatriate 140 American survivors of the Zam~ zain through Spain. The American survivors at present are at St. Jean de Luz, western France, a few miles from the Spanish border. The Ameri cong were taken off the Zamzam by German warship which then sank the Greek steamer, The Americans were brought to St. Jean de Luz by the German raider.
