Lido and East Surreys, probably the two strongest teams in local football, will meet for the first time this season in the semi-finals of the Skotrowe Cup on Saturday afternoon at the Canidrome, beginning at 230 p.m. In the other bracket Seaforths will play Clube Lusitano on the following day at the Racecourse and the winners of these two tussles will play off the final sometime next month.
The Surreys have made vast improvement lately. Their defeat of the Association Sportive Francaise in the previous round by a one-sided score of 5-l aroused the attention of the followers of the game and this clash is going to attract one of the biggest crowd.
Seaforths will most likely win the right to play in the final as the Portuguese team is at present crippled by the absence of Marcal and Oliveira Two First Division games are also scheduled to take place this weekend. On Saturday the Recs will play the A.S.F. and on Sunday morning SEX. will be pitted against Tung Hwa at the Canidrome.
