Black List of German Firms Made Known

Names of Companies on London Schedule London, Mar. 7. A new list of 110 German firms operating abroad with whom Britons are forbidden to trade was issued yesterday revealing that most of the firms were in China. Eighty of the firms listed operate in China and 15 operate in the Netherlands.

The name of Siemens was plastered all over the list. There were branches lot Siemens-Halske, Siemens-Schuckert and others totalling 36, with presumably some additional branches concealed under non-committal titles.

There were some 12 Bayer companies, while foreign off-shoots of the Telefunken, Agfa, Osram, Norddeutsoher Lloyd, and Hamburg-Amerika companies were listed with several big overseas German banks also fairly numerous.

German firms operating in the United States and Italy were stil conspicuous by their absence from any lists. No official explanation of these omissions has yet been vouchsafed.—United Press.
